Act fast — your first steps

Step 1: Stop the payments

Contact your bank immediately to block cards and UPI. If it's financial fraud, call 1930 right away.

Step 2: Save your evidence

Screenshot messages and transactions, note transaction IDs (UTR numbers), and don't delete anything.

Step 3: Secure your accounts

Change your passwords, log out of other devices, and enable two-factor authentication where possible.

Step 4: Report the incident

File a complaint on cybercrime.gov.in or visit your nearest cyber cell with your saved evidence.
